Poor Halle, like The Intruders sang: love is just like a baseball game, three strikes you're out!!! The Oscar winning actress is now set to divorce husband number three, Actor Oliver Martinez after two years of marriage. The couple married after Berry’s bitter break up with babydaddy Model Gabriel Aubry and ex-husbands Singer Eric Benet and Baseball’s David Justice. Berry married in 2013 despite the fact the 49-year old actress told Oprah she’d never marry again….. before she met the 49-year old Martinez on the set of Dark Tide. Although most people are looking at Halle since this is number three, sources say Martinez’s explosive temper was one of the dealbreakers. Babydaddy Gabriel Aubry knows about that temper first hand after one Thanksgiving when Martinez opened up a can of Whipa** on Aubry in the midst of Aubry and Berry’s custody feud. Martinez and Berry have a two-year old son, and Martinez is looking to avoid any type of bitter custody battle like that. Speaking of avoiding, Halle tried to avoid alerting the press too soon by filing under a fake name, Hal Maria. She also tried to beat Martinez to the punch because he also filed. Berry went back to filing under her legal name.
Russell Simmons has a lot of drama going on with the RUSH card. The pioneering hip hop mogul created the pre-paid debit card, which is aimed at people who cannot get bank accounts and allows for shopping and paycheck deposits. Despite close to 12 years of operation, the card hit a snag recently when a security breach resulted in locked accounts, stolen funds, lost deposits and unnecessary late fees. When the customer service wasn’t enough to satisfy people, irate customers swarmed Simmons’ social media outlets with their many complaints about the RUSH card. Simmons has now created a multi-million dollar relief account to assist customers, many of whom claim that they are facing eviction, stolen funds, loss of benefits and credit penalties for non-payment. Simmons has said he’s also compensated many customers from his own pocket. A third party will run the account, and MasterCard and the custodian bank Metabank have all contributed.

Speaking of the Knowles family, Becoming Beyonce: The Untold Story is a new unauthorized tell-all by Author J. Randy Taraborrelli. Taraborrelli has done unauthorized bios in the past, most famously his unflattering take on Motown Legend Diana Ross titled Call Her Miss Ross. In Becoming Beyonce, the book claims Jay-Z and Beyonce broke up for a time when Bey believed Jay-Z was having an affair with a then 17-year old Rihanna in 2005. Taraborrelli also hints at the possibility that Jay-Z wanting to attend a Rihanna afterparty lead to sister-in-law Solange’s famous elevator attack years later. Taraborrelli leaves it at only those in the elevator knowing for sure. The book also tracks the turmoil Beyonce, her family and Destiny’s Child went through when Bey was clearly established as lead singer. Also noted is Beyonce’s iron clad contract all who have anything to do with the care of her child Blue Ivy must follow. Becoming Beyonce: The Untold Story is on bookshelves now.
