Project Life

Okay, so I feel like I am late with just about everything these days. Was late on Pinterest, was late on Instagram, and I have been late on Project Life. I would see the photos of others Project Life, but really had no clue of what the hell it was, but it looked rather cool...So anyway, one of my good friends talked me into joining her in on the challenge with her...and we dove into some prepping today. We will start on 1/1/13.

Here is what they look like: (snagged this from a google search)...not mine!
IMG_0009

What is it? I guess its basically a really easy way of chronicling the days of the year, places you may go for lunch, the price of gas, what you cooked for dinner, childs art from school, funnyisms your kid may say, etc...anything! It's completely up to you on what you wish to do.

A few other challenges we will be incorporating into our 365, Project Life Album. We will incorporate the following challenges, hopefully I remember them...I kinda feel like she posted my arm somewhat...but I am going to try!

1. 64 crayons - We will pull a color from a box of crayons and take a photo of what color we pulled
2. 52 walks - We will take a photo on different walks we do. If its once a week, we will take a photo, and it can of course be of anything, the scenery, maybe someone you are walking with, etc.
3. ABC's of me..- Self explanatory

And who knows maybe I will through out the above and just do my own thang! Who knows but I am going to try and just do whatever flows! LOL!'

Here are a few sites / blogs that have inspired me below. If you are interested in doing it for 2013, visit the sites below or even search on Pinterest!

Love Me Some Ledisi!!

I have been sleeping on Ledisi....love her. I keep my Pandora locked on Ledisi station. I have a co-worker that would speak highly of this artist and I never paid too much attention I guess...but I shoulda. This is true music talent. Unfortunately, true talent doesn't get the hype, glam, and attention as they should. I can tell I am growing and maturing in the music I am choosing to listen to.

Anyhow, if you do not know who Ledisi is, you may want to check her out. Her lyrics are real!
She also has a pretty inspirational published journal which is pretty bomb I have to say!

Here are the words to one of my favorite songs...listen on YouTube..Enjoy!

This life can make me so confused
But it's alright
Living day by day I feel so used
That ain't right
I just wanna run and hide
But I don't have the time to cry
And it's alright It's alright, alright
Many thoughts are runnin' through my head, It's alright
Wishing to be somewhere else but here
And it's alright
I can't wait to see your face
I need a smile and your embrace
I'm alrightI'm alright, yeah

Life can bring us through many changes
It's alright
Just don't give up, know that it's gonna be alright
People come and they go
It's just the way that it goes
Everything is everything
It's alright

Sometime the rain, it makes me sad
And it's alright
Some things in the world they make me mad
And it's alright
In the mornin' when I see the sun
I know I'm not the only one
And it's alrightIt's alright, yeah
Wish I had some money to pay my bills
I can't even buy that dress on sale
But it's alright
Having money don't mean a thing
Loving you is everything
And I'm alright
I'm alright, yeah

Life can bring us through many changes
It's alright
Just don't give up, know that it's gonna be alright
People come and they go
It's just the way that it goes

Everything is everything
It's alright
Everything is everything
It's gonna be alright
Everything is everythingIt's gonna be alright

Life can bring us through many changes
It's alright
Just don't give up, know that it's gonna be alright
People come and they go
That's just the way that it goes
Everything is everything
It's alright

Life can bring us through many changes
It's alright
Just don't give up, know that it's gonna be alright
People come and they go
That's just the way that it goes
Everything is everything
It's alright

I Know...I'm Sad...

Wow! Well I truly do not know what to say!
I honestly enjoy the whole idea of blogging I really do, I was alot better at it when I didn't have other time suckers around, such as Pinterest and Facebook...and then catching up on my shows with my awesome DVR system. I have to keep up, as I have so many shows to talk about with my girlfriends!

Anyhow, tis the season to be Thankful and jolly and such. While many folks are out with the public I have chosen to be at home and chill...maybe cuz I didn't have no funds! Yeah, that sounds about right! I MIGHT join the crowds next year, maybe. I heard some people do it for the fun of it all..

I have a total of 5 days off before I return back to work on Monday, and I think I truly needed the time. I have been doing a lot of laying around, spending time with my mini me, spending time with my family, eating, watching tv, reading and more eating. =)

I am currently reading a book by Joyce Meyers called, "Never Give Up!: Relentless Determination to Overcome Life's Challenges"...its a pretty awesome book. I think it is a perfect book to start off my new year.

Anyhow, I will try to make sure my visits are not too far and far in between!

Oooh...I need to get it TOGETHER!

Wow......time sure does fly by, like a DC20 aircraft!

Somethin told me to check on my blog for some odd reason, not sure. well nevermind...someone led me there and I chose to click on my sista friend Alondra's blog and it truly spoke to me...

Yeah, I am behind on a lot and sure I have missed alot...summer has been busy as hell but you know what, I am glad that I have been here to enjoy it all!

Alondras blog was about a new birth being that she is hittin that age 40. Well I am not too far away from it myself considering how fast time flys!

I started to comment on her blog and then thought, damn, I need to go ahead and just update my blog...duh! My response to her, started off like this...

"Love the title! Love the blog entry...love it! Time is flying...and we need to make it all right...
I was looking in the mirror this evening and I wasn't quite happy with what I saw...need to get back to taking care of self, or how about just beginning to take care of self. Okay..maybe I need to update my blog with this?? Lol..love ya sis!"..

So yeah...bottom line, I looked in the mirror and had a WTH moment...and MAYBE its because my cycle is knockin at the damn door again! UGH! I can't believe the amount of water my body holds at this time of the month..I strongly dislike it!! Anyhow, I need to get it back on track! For real...need to use my gym membership that is super dusty and utilize my time super wisely.

Well there's your update! I need to get it together...inside and out!

Whats the 4-1-1 for Week of 8/17/12

Where did it go wrong for Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Evelyn Lozada? It was a relationship made in reality TV heaven. The two married in July, and their new reality show was set to debut next month. Then a fight over condom receipts tore the relationship apart. Lozada found the receipts and confronted Johnson. They started fighting. She says he headbutted her leaving her with a three-inch cut on her forehead. Johnson was arrested, and when he made bail, he was fired from his football job with the Miami Dolphins. Johnson has lost everything. Will another team pick him up? Gone are the glory days when he was Dancing With The Stars. Lozada is now trying to pick up the pieces of her life too. She was counting on her reality show with Johnson to put her on another level. She was tired of being on Basketball Wives, the original show that brought her fame. Lozada thought she was better than the other ladies, and this new show, Ev And Ocho, was going to prove it. In what had to be the worst week of her life, Lozada was assaulted and her brother-in-law died. Anthony Ochoa was married to her sister Sylvia. Ochoa was 43 and was married to Sylvia for ten years and had two kids. Lozada is looking for a fresh start. She filed for divorce from Johnson. He has no job, so she has no use for him. She has to worry about herself. Sources say Lozada is thinking of writing a tell-all and becoming an advocate speaking out against domestic violence. She knows she can make money off of speaking engagements. Reality TV made Lozada a star, and she loves the spotlight. Don’t be surprised if she returns to Basketball Wives.

Rehab is busy this week. Singer Bobby Brown has entered rehab to deal with his excessive drinking. At the urging of his bandmates New Edition, Brown realized he needed help dealing with his demons. Brown has been battling substance abuse issues for most of his career. Earlier this year, he was arrested for drunk driving. His wife, Alicia Etheridge, says he is responding well to treatment.

Actor Cuba Gooding, Jr. has also entered rehab. The Oscar winner is known for his wild partying. A couple of weeks ago, he made headlines after getting into a scuffle with a barmaid. No word yet on how this will affect on his latest movie, The Butler, with Oprah Winfrey and Mariah Carey.

Author Zane has one of her bestsellers coming to the big screen. Zane is known for her erotic novels, and the book Addicted is coming to theaters. Word has it Actress Nia Long is set to star in the movie as a successful but sex-addicted businesswoman.

The family of Olympic Darling Gabby Douglas is fighting over her future fortune. Before Douglas made headlines with her Olympic gold wins, her parents were splitting up. Gabby's mom, Natalie Hawkins, filed for divorce from husband Timothy Douglas. Hawkins also filed for bankruptcy. Gabby's dad has been labeled a deadbeat dad. He says he has always been there for his daughter. He says he is being treated unfairly. Timothy Douglas says he was in London with his family to cheer his daughter on, but they were not given tickets and had to watch her win the gold on TV like everybody else. Millions are at stake here with endorsements including Gabby's recent Cornflakes cereal deal. She could rake in close to $100 million. 16-year old Gabby is seen as the goose who lays the golden eggs as her parents battle over the money.

Good Morning America Morning News Anchor Robin Roberts will take her leave of absence from the show later this month. Roberts is undergoing a bone marrow transplant and treatment to prepare for it. Some of her fill-in hosts for the morning show include Katie Couric, Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer. Despite rumors to the contrary, she hasn't begun her medical leave yet. Roberts says on her facebook that she's currently on vacation.

Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson is still mad at her kids for duping her. Mom Katherine feels betrayed and heartbroken over the actions of Rebbie, Janet, Jermaine and Randy after they duped her and took her away from her grandchildren. Mom Katherine is furious their actions caused her to lose custody of Michael Jackson's kids, and now she has to share custody with her grandson Tito Jackson, Jr. Rebbie, Janet, Jermaine and Randy have been barred from Katherine's home. If she wants to see them, Katherine meets them outside of her home. She feels their family business has been put out in the street, and now everyone is watching her. The Jackson family feud is far from over.

Changes are coming to the CNN network. The 24-hour news network has been lagging in ratings for a while. I hear they are looking to add reality shows to the programming and a late night talk show to give them a boost.

Gerald Levert is going to be profiled on the season finale of TV One’s Unsung on Monday, August 20th.
