{Yes! Still Crafting / WhoGivesaScrap!?}

WhoGivesaScrap!? is still in the game!!! We will be turning 14 years old this coming April! Seems like just yesterday, we were celebrating our 10 year Anniversary! How shall we celebrate??? Hmmm...my wheels are turning!

I have met THEE most amazing friends, in person an virtually! You all rock!

Now let me clarify a few things....I'm not sure if it is just me, but when your friends an family see you scrapbook or do cardmaking, there is an automatic assumption that we can DO ALL THINGS! Not necessarily true people! LOL...I cannot do it all. My main squeeze is scrapbooking and then here comes this planning thing! So yeah needless to say....I got sucked in by the planner monster!
No photo description available.

So, yes, WhoGivesaScrap!? still meets once a month for our monthly crops! At these crops you can come do whatever it is your heart desires! Scrapbooking, card making, quilting, reading, journaling, mixed media, sewing, needlepoint, planning...OR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
Although our group is nationwide, our meetups are held in La Puente at the Scrapbook Cafe! If you are in Southern Cali or ever visitng, please feel free to come play with us! If you are out of state, you can still join in on our fun virtually!

We had a great time at our last crop this past weekend with a few pics below:

Our next crop will be February 9, 2019! Come join the group and get some work done!

{Glamped Up!}

Glampin Monologues!!

Well granted, we did not real deal camp.....there was an RV involved, so....I guess most would call that cheating. That is totally fine.  We had a fun eventful weekend at Puddingstone Lake, glamping it up...the most productive I've been in awhile...aaand....the kicker....I was crafting out with mother nature!!! It was a task running from bees and trying to find smacked spiders, steering clear of skunks, spraying bug repellent, lighting citronella candles, adjusting easy up to block sun in the day and crafting with the assistance of flood lights....you get the picture..

Here are a few of my favorite pics in this pic collage and below that my ultimate favorite...which I would say was my ultimate favorite photo bomb pic!

                           And.....that was the best photo bomb pic that I have ever done. This should go up on the hall of fame! Sorry JoJo Bug!

Below are the layouts that was able to complete. I think I did a total of 12? I  think? Some I cannot quite post yet due to being on a design team. =) You will see them over time.

   A few cards I made...I am by far a card maker, but I had scraps and I thought I would use....not only that....I really am not feeling the prices of greeting cards. At the beginning of the year, I told myself that I was not buying any cards this year........I lied to myself. BUT...I would love to get to that point.

It is so important to get together with your girlfriends and just hang out! If its not scrapbooking find whatever it is you love....and enjoy! Enjoy life, tomorrow is never promised! From what I understand, we will definitely do it again, maybe real deal camping!

Thanks for visiting!

{Scrap Our Stash - Stash Challenge}

Hello!
I'm a little late in posting this challenge! Shame on me....But here is April's Stash Challenge from Scrap Our Stash:

The Challenge:
Create a layout inspired by the BOOK COVER.
You are allowed to use anything from the cover that inspires you,
for instance, the water faucets, the colors, title, etc.
AND...you must include 2 or more clouds on your page.

My take:

Bringing you my stash Challenge for the month! This one stumped me only for a quick second...wasn't sure whether to pull the colors or utilize the title, so I did a little of both! I pulled some of the earthy colors from the book cover and utilized the "YOU" in my title.
Tried to cut my two little clouds out by hand, which I think came out cool for a free hand...😐

Stay in the loop and see more challenge entries at: www.scrapourstash.blogspot.com

When posting your layout, you must include in your write up
what inspiration you pulled from the book cover, to be considered for the
random prize drawing.

Viva Las Vegas!!

Oh wow! The 3 of us, myself and 2 of my best Scrappy Buds took a little road trip to celebrate other scrappy buds birthdays in Sin City!! That trip was highly anticipated and highly needed!!! There is a link to my flipgram that highlights some of my favorite photos! In case you don't click the link, I have some of my favorite pics to share here with you!

2 of the birthday girls hosted an all day crop that was hands down on point, filled with a day of challenges, games and awesome prizes!

We went up on  a Friday, got into a little trouble with a senior citizen that evening when we went to a lounge for some live music! I guess we were sitting in his unmarked seats....oops....nerve!

Saturday we cropped and had fun, shared plenty of meals together and headed back on Sunday homeward bound. We stopped at the famous Alien Jerky place which is along the 15 Fwy, somewhere between Nevada and Barstow, Ca. I do believe its in Baker, Ca.

Anyhow, I was super productive so proud of that! Because of the known shenanigans that were to occur, I only aimed for 10 layouts...I achieved 8 which was still good considering the chaos!
I will share those layouts in a few days!

Thank you for allowing me to relive my moment with me!

Viva Las Vegas! Celebrating January Birthdays! Its not all about pics, glue and paper....its about the friendships that form...luv these ladies! Happy Birthday Rochelle, Lisa & Alondra!!

Title: "Love My Crew"

Hello scrappers!
Here is my layout to share with you and we are challenged to come up with a layout that contains items on the page that spell out "D-I-E-C-U-T-S"

Okay! Here is what I came up with!

I - Ink (Inked Edges)
E - Ephemera
C - Clipbard
U - Unibal
T - Thicker (sticker words)
S - Stencil

A little about my layout...do you just love your crafty friends? Let me tell you....I ADORE my crafty friends! This particular photo is a pic of us in a Hobby Lobby that we all took an "extended lunch" and met up at to shop for our Create 365 - Happy Planners, by MAMBI!

Enjoy the challenge and I cannot wait to see what you come up with!

{Sketch Challenge #32}

Hello friends!

Here is this months sketch challenge!  I LOVE using different printed patterns on a layout...also a nice way to utilize your supply that you have on hand!

Along with the completion of this sketch, you will need to use items making a BINGO from the BINGO card below. =)

Bingo - Selection must be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal....easy right!?

Title: The Start of a Great Day

I absolutely love this sketch, mainly because I love working with multi patterned paper. I was a matchy type of girl early on in my scrapbooking years, but now....anything goes! I added a little bit of everything on this layout.

For this challenge, I used the "I" column: Paper Clip, Doily, Glitter, Journaling Card and Metal. Fun! Fun! Thanks for looking and can't wait to see your creations!
